At Interzolve, we believe that less is more when
it comes to designing your web site. Bombarding potential customers
with information that they do not need or want, can cause many to
leave in frustration. Just because you can do something, doesn't
mean you should do it. When designing your site, we look at three
main factors: usability, design, and functionality. All three of
these factors must harmoniously work together in order for a site
to be successful.
Usability refers to the ease that a visitor can
navigate the site and find the information they were looking for.
A site with poor usability can cause visitors to leave immediately.
Design refers to the look and feel of a site, including
graphics, layout, and other style issues. A freshly designed site
with simple clean graphics can give your company a new image and
remember a web-site is sometimes the first point of contact to your
company. First impressions are VERY important. A poorly designed
site can cause visitors to not want to come back.
Functionality refers to the things that visitors
can actually do at your site. Can they log in to get information
that others cannot? Can they securely order a product online? Functionality
is what keeps visitors coming back again, and again.
